okay, okay this picture is like three years old.

&& it brings tears to my eyes!

my family and i had the once in a lifetime marvelous opportunity

to be host families for children from Kenya, Africa

while they were here to sing and raise money for their families and schools.

these kids taught me so much.

they taught me to be grateful.

they taught me what the word 'hungry' really meant.

to love my parents and siblings because they could be gone from me with a snap of a finger.

to be grateful for a home that doesn't crash and completely be ruined after the rain.

to laugh at the little things.

they taught me that there's always something to be happy about.

and to love.

i love them

&& miss them very much.

i can't wait to go back to africa to visit my adorable other family.
