it's kind of lame to post about rude people,

because they sort of
don't deserve the credit.

however..

i kind of want to
express my displeasure to rude people.

1. at the instacare office this week.

i thought i had strep,
feeling absolutely miserable,
so i went to 'instacare.'
[heck, it's cheaper than the campus clinic.]


so i went there,
signed in,
gave all my info and paid the co-pay
and waited...
waited...
waited...
for about thirty minutes
even though there was one person there besides myself.

nurse finally called my name,
&& i went and took the strep test.

"how long does the strep test take again?"
i eagerly (and nicely) asked."

"7 minutes."

"wow! that's great! i thought it took like 24 hours."

she brings me into another room,
and says

"doctor phillips will be right with you!"

so i wait
and wait
and wait
and wait.
and wait.

mmkay, it was now getting ridiculous.

i actually thought the doc forgot about me.

i texted my ma and asked her what to do
and she said to poke my head out and ask
kindly if my results were back yet.

i always mind mama!
so--i did so.

"hey there! have my results come back yet by chance?"

this doctor lady
wearing a lab suit she thought she was so cool in,
came out of nowhere,
and loudly said,

"I STILL HAVE ONE OTHER PATIENT
BEFORE YOU! I DON'T KNOW WHAT
YOU WANT ME TO DO!"
nearly yelling at me.


i responded with:

"sorry! i didn't know it was going to take nearly two hours."


okay, doc!
maybe she was having a bad day,
but like..really?
why you gotta be mean to mehh?

i mean..
sorry for thinking that
"instacare"
was instant. care.
it would kind of make sense with the name.

you know..
like
"McGrath's fish house."
they have fish.
it only makes sense, dr. rebecca. phillips.

2. nienie.
if any of you read her blog,
it is the most inspiring thing in the universe.
i encourage you to do so!!



she wrote a post about
someone who emailed her something very impolite.
this person was telling nienie to stop complaining
about being pregnant.

well...nienie burned over 80% of her body
in a plane accident,
and the blog is HERS.

and she is also the most uplifting person i know.
everyone can be negative sometimes.
everyone.

i was gonna link a post to it
because it was just plain awesome.

but she deleted it.

3. rude people in general:
just smile.
be happy.
say hello to those you don't know.
laugh.
&& be silly.

because life is definitely too short
to waste your times being caught up
in what shouldn't take your diminutive time away.



i love you all.
