a delightful day

equals..


monday, october 3rd.

trevor and i went to gateway,
walked around the ravishing temple grounds,
&& then he took me into this
little secluded area,
filled with exquisite flowers
&& an olive tree.

we were talking,
laughing,
and definitely feeling the spirit.

then trev..pulled out a little black box.

"you're stupid."

i said..[under my breath.]
i mean..i thought that the ring box was empty,
and that he was playing with my head..that fool.

but..no.

he opened the ring box.
&& there was my dream ring.

he got down on one stupendous knee,
&& asked..

"amanda? will you marry me?"

i didn't believe it.
i was completely shocked,
&& happy,
ecstatic,
and so so
ridiculously
beaming.

i forgot to say yes
[because] i was so shocked.

this day was magnificent.
&& i will never forget it.
we haven't picked a date yet
that is for sure,

however,

we are getting married.
and yes!

we are engaged!

i couldn't be happier.


heck,
i am marrying my best friend
&& partner in crime.
