Shelby

Shelby Lynn Metcalf is about the most indescribable girl there is out there. She is the most amazing person I have ever met! Though we haven't been close for the 17 years we've been friends, we've still been best friends. We've been through a roller coaster of emotions. We've been through so much together. We always tell each other that we're going to grow up together, get married to some hot twin boys, then once they die, we'll go commit suicide in a ditch, in a golf cart. Nobody except us understands our humor and I am so thankful for that. Shelby is the best friend I never even saw in my life until recently. She can always put a smile on my face, and make me the happiest person ever!! She always gives really good advice. She knows everything about me, and I know everything about her. She knows what I would do in a certain situation. She always knows what I would like. She knows what my strengths are, and what my weaknesses are. She is an extremely spiritual person. She always wants to make me better. She always does the crafty things for me. We have so many stupid memories that are so amazingly funny to look back on. She always shows me how strong she really is. We both go through really hard times, but she's always going to be there for me. I know that she's dealt with a trial that I could never even imagine at this point. That gives me comfort in knowing that whoever I am getting my advice from, which is her, she knows what she is talking about, and she has been through it. I love her so much, and nothing could ever change that. I always hope and pray that we won't go our separate ways just like our sisters did. Of course they are still friends, but they are definitely not as close as they could be! I love Shelby so dang much, and I hope we never fall apart. I think everyone in life needs a friend like this. Whether it be their spouse, their mother or father, their next door neighbor, their sibling, their cousin, or anything, everyone needs a best friend. Shelby helped me see the light when I couldn't even see a spark at that time, and I love her for that.
