[King Family Christmas Party of 09!]

Every year, we have a family Christmas Party, exchange gifts, do white elephants, sit on Santa's lap, have yummy food, and bond with the family! It's always been such a fun time of the year that the family looks forward to. This year, I've talked to tons of friends and family and it seems as if nobody is feeling the Christmas Spirit this year. It's very true, I'm just not feelin it. Emphasis on CHRISTMAS spirit. But...lately, I've been feelin "his" spirit a whole lot lately. It's been pretty scary, thinking something might happen to somebody close to me, because i've never felt like this.
Today--my grandma told us to come home and write down what everybody said today because we wont' want to forget it. She is RIGHT about that one!! I will do so now (:

Jeff & Diana King's family: The power of prayer. very true. My family doesn't really do that...even though we should! But i think that having that in your house would definitely help us all out through rough times we have!

My Mom: Missionaries. Ha very true. And we'll say that I just can't wait til' Rachel comes home. Life is going to be good.

Bastians: This one hit home to me ): Everyone has their trials. Some are hidden, some nobody have any clue about. It's so true. Don't EVER assume that somebody has a perfect life, and nothing wrong in their life. Because that is not true. Everybody goes through something at some point, and even though we have some days where we just want to be done, keep pushing through. Because those trials are just going to make you stronger.

Caspersons: Service. I loved this one too! My aunt Angie works at the Humanitarian Center. The stories she shares with us are amazing! I think I'm gonna take after her and study social work. I look up to her in so many ways because if you just imagine all the people she helps every day. She's a great example to me!

Hansons: Not giving up. When you say you can't do something, take it back! Because you can always accomplish something that you never thought you could go. All you have to have is the determination and willing to sacrifice.

Dj & Lisa: Family. My family is AMAZING! YA..i'm sure yours is too. But I really don't think I couldv'e been placed into a better family. They're amazing, and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them is an example to me!
